Pinto Martins International Airport (FOR), Fortaleza, Brazil; international departure lounge Level 2, next to Gate 1; domestic departure lounge after security, next to Gate 8

R$230 buys you 4 hours in Ambaar Club’s international room

At Fortaleza T1, the Ambaar Club by Gate 3 mainly serves Brazil–Europe and regional international departures, opening only around those flight banks. It sits airside in International Departures directly in front of Gate 3, so it’s useful if you’re on TAP, Air Europa, or other overnight runs. Just don’t count on it during quiet periods; there are gaps between waves when the doors stay shut.

Walk-up pricing runs R$230 for 4 hours or R$350 for 6 hours, which is steep against terminal food prices in Fortaleza. Priority Pass, LoungeKey, Diners, Amex, Visa Aeternum, and The Platinum Card all show as accepted access routes, so swipe a card before paying cash. Most reports treat this as a simple holding pen for outbound internationals rather than a destination in its own right.

The lounge operates “during international flight operation hours,” not 24/7, and that wording matters. If your airline suggests arriving 3 hours before a 02:00 departure, the lounge might not open until roughly 2 hours out, sometimes closer to boarding. That timing mismatch is the main complaint, especially for families turned away from Ambaar Club while the regular gate seats are still half empty.

Seats, snacks, and basic drinks are the core offer here; don’t expect a restaurant-level hot buffet given the relatively small footprint by Gate 3. With walk-up at R$350 for 6 hours, buying a pass only makes sense if you plan to stay at least 3 hours and actually use the shower, Wi‑Fi, and drinks. Otherwise, a couple of meals in the public area of T1 often comes out cheaper.

Regulars on late-night departures often camp on the 2nd-floor public seating with free airport Wi‑Fi, then move into Ambaar Club as soon as it opens for their bank to avoid burning their 4-hour or 6-hour clock. Flyers connecting domestically the same day sometimes pair this with W Premium: Ambaar Club for the international leg at Gate 3, W Premium on the domestic side when they land back in T1.

Plan one thing: check same-day opening times against your exact flight and arrival time, then time security so you hit Ambaar Club soon after it actually opens instead of burning an hour in a closed lounge zone.
