One-minute walk from T1 for EV charging at FNC

The EV Charging Stations sit right next to the main terminal at Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport (FNC), about a 1-minute walk from T1 check-in. This is as close as you get to plug in and still be basically at the doors of the building, which matters if you are hauling luggage or traveling with kids.

Because the chargers are beside the terminal, you park and walk straight into T1 in roughly 60 seconds, instead of waiting for a shuttle or crossing multiple car park lanes. That makes these spots useful for both departures and pickups, especially for early morning flights when you do not want to add extra time hunting for a bay further out.

These bays are in the main airport parking area next to T1, so you follow the same access roads you would use for the standard car park at FNC. Signage in the terminal forecourt directs you toward parking and the EV section, which reduces the risk of looping the access road more than once looking for plugs.

Pricing tracks regular terminal-side parking at Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, since the EV Charging Stations sit in the same general zone, next to the terminal doors. Factor standard short‑ or long‑stay parking fees into your budget and add whatever your charging provider bills per kWh, as these are usually billed separately from the physical parking ticket.

There is no shuttle here because you do not need one; you park by the chargers a few meters from T1 and walk straight into departures or arrivals in under a minute. That short walk also makes it easier to check on your car during a longer layover, for example stepping out from the arrivals level to confirm charge status midway through the day.

Practical tip: Aim to arrive at least 15–20 minutes earlier than usual if you need both a parking space and time at the EV charger, since a 1-minute walk to T1 does not guarantee an open bay at the plug itself.
