Relay

Gate area in Terminal A has one main shop: Relay

Once you clear security into Terminal A at FDF, Relay is one of just a handful of airside options before boarding. It sits in the main departures area after passport control, so you can reach it in under 5 minutes from most A gates. If you want reading material, snacks, or last‑minute items without going back landside, this is basically your stop.

Relay carries French and Caribbean magazines, a short shelf of pocket books, and standard travel reads, all priced in euros. Expect typical airport markups: bottled water around €2–3, sodas a bit higher, and packaged snacks in the €3–6 range. There are also basic stationery items, phone chargers, and SIMs, which can save you a run back to the landside shops.

Opening hours generally track the main flight banks, with Relay opening in the early morning before the first departures and closing after the last evening flights on the FDF–Paris runs. During slower midday periods, stock on cold drinks and grab‑and‑go food can run low, especially when two or three departures leave within 60–90 minutes of each other.

Skytrax notes that airside press and retail at FDF are limited overall, so expect this Relay to feel small for an international airport. Watch out for crowds when an AF or other long‑haul flight boards, as the shop floor near the entrance can clog with 20–30 people at once. If you care about choice, do your main shopping landside, then use Relay airside only for forgotten basics.

Tip: Stop at Relay right after security in Terminal A, before you settle at the gate, since lines spike in the 30 minutes before boarding starts.
