Draft beer and rum drinks by Gate A at Le Lamentin Bar
Gate-area bar in Terminal A, Le Lamentin Bar sits airside after security at Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport, so you can watch boarding queues while you finish a drink. It’s a straight walk from central security to the A gates, and you’ll see the counter along the concourse before you hit the main cluster of boarding doors.
Le Lamentin Bar runs through the main flight banks, generally open from the early morning departures into the evening long-haul window, roughly 06:00 to around 20:00 on busy days. Hours flex with the Air France, Air Caraïbes, and regional Caribbean schedules, so late-night stragglers after the last departure sometimes find the shutters down by about 19:30.
Drinks focus on beer, basic wine, and local rum; expect a draft or bottled beer around €5–7 and mixed drinks in the €8–12 range. You’ll usually find at least one rhum agricole option from Martinique on the shelf, and simple ti’ punch or rum orange is the move if you want something local without going overboard before a 3–4 hour flight.
Food is limited bar fare rather than a full restaurant menu, with snacks and light bites generally under €10. Think small plates you can finish in under 20 minutes so you’re not juggling boarding passes and hot food in the gate line. On tight connections under 45 minutes, this is more a quick drink-and-go stop than a real meal plan.
Service is counter-based, and you pay on order, which keeps things predictable if your flight to Paris or Fort-de-France’s regional hops suddenly move to “boarding” on the screens. Most guests linger within sight of the A gate monitors so they can drain a last €6 beer when their zone gets called.
Tip: If you want a rum drink here, ask specifically for a local Martinique rhum agricole label rather than the default pour and you usually get better value for the same price bracket.
