Showers and coffee in Pier E, not much else

This Prima Vista Lounge sits in Terminal 3’s Pier E satellite by gates E31–E44, and most flyers treat it as a last-ditch contract option, not a place to hang out for hours. You reach Pier E by the little transit train from the main T3 concourse, which adds a few minutes each way to your timing.

The lounge opens at 07:15 on Monday–Thursday and Saturday, and 06:45 on Friday and Sunday, with closing time at 18:45 every day. That window works for most US-bound departures from E-gates, but it’s useless for late-night long-haul or the very first bank of Schengen flights from Terminal 1.

Access runs through Priority Pass or paid entry at the door in Terminal 3, so you’ll see a mix of oneworld contract passengers and cardholders before E31–E44 departures. Build in at least 10 extra minutes if you’re walking back to the main T3 concourse, since you have to take the Pier E transit train again.

Food is bare-bones: reviews mention stale croissants at breakfast and a short snack spread the rest of the day, so plan to eat in the main T3 food court if you want a real meal. Drinks are better than the food but still basic, with self-serve coffee machines and standard soft drinks on the counter.

The big functional perk is the shower rooms inside Prima Vista, confirmed in the oneworld/FlyerTalk lounge thread for Pier E. Regulars time their visit outside the main transatlantic bank to avoid a queue, especially around late-morning AA and other US carrier departures.

Wi‑Fi is present but just good enough for email and browsing; frequent flyers say streaming struggles during peak E31–E44 departure waves. Power outlets exist but not at every seat, so if you find a working socket, plug in immediately and don’t move.

Cleanliness is the consistent weak point: multiple TripAdvisor and forum reports describe the lounge as dirty and poorly maintained, including one incident with a bird flying around and landing on tables. Furniture in Pier E’s Prima Vista looks worn, and the space has limited natural light, which makes a two- or three-hour delay feel longer.

Practical tip: If you’re in Terminal 3 and value a shower over food, hit Prima Vista in Pier E for a quick rinse and coffee, then head back toward the main concourse for a proper meal near your actual gate.
