5-minute walk from Faro T1, P4 Classic sits behind P2

P4 Classic is the airport’s long-stay car park on the terminal side of Faro Gago Coutinho (T1), a short walk behind the main short-stay zones P1 and P2. It’s signed as “P4 Classic / Long Stay” on the airport approach road, so look for that label once you pass the terminal frontage. This is on-airport parking, not an off-site shuttle lot, so you park your own car and walk to departures.

This is the long-stay option, so pricing is geared to several days rather than a quick drop-off; check the current daily rate under the “P4 Classic” listing when you pre-book, as drive-up prices at Faro can jump sharply in peak summer months. Bookings typically lock in a per-day price instead of an hourly structure, making it more sensible for a 3–14 day trip than for an overnight stop.

P4 Classic sits on the same side as T1, so walking time to check-in is usually around 4–6 minutes depending on where you find a space. There’s no shuttle bus involved. The car park uses barriers and ticket machines at entry and exit; keep the paper ticket dry and legible, as Faro’s machines can be picky about damaged barcodes and faded prints.

This is an open-air surface lot with marked bays, so there’s no covered parking like you might find in a multi-storey. Lighting columns are spaced through the rows, and the car park is fenced around the perimeter. If rain is in the forecast, toss an umbrella in your hand luggage for the short walk from P4 Classic to the T1 departures doors.

There are staff and payment machines near the terminal-facing side of the car park, but not in every row. If you’re paying at a machine instead of online, allow an extra 10–15 minutes before your planned terminal arrival, just in case there’s a short queue or a card hiccup at the pay station.

Tip: when you park, snap a quick photo of your row number and the “P4 Classic” sign; Faro’s front-of-terminal car parks blend into each other, and that photo saves you from walking laps around P2 and P3 on return.
