Star Alliance Lounge Buenos Aires

A · near 8/9 Open · 23:00–15:00 Day pass $50

Near gates 8/9, this Star Alliance Lounge is fine, not famous

Post-security in Terminal A by gates 8 and 9, the Star Alliance Lounge Buenos Aires runs 23:00–15:00 and feels solid but pretty standard. You head through passport control, walk toward gate 8/9, then go up one level via stairs or elevator to reach the entrance directly opposite the gates.

Access lines are simple: Star Alliance Gold or business class on a Star Alliance flight from Terminal A gets you in, and everyone else can buy a day pass at about US$50 at the desk. Reviews repeat the same point: this is for departures only, so don’t plan on using it after landing at EZE.

Hours matter here: 23:00–15:00 is not just the opening schedule, it’s also the reported credit‑card window. Several Spanish-language reviews flag a blackout from 15:00–23:00 for certain bank and card deals, so people counting on plastic during the evening bank up a backup plan outside the lounge.

Inside, expect the usual mix of armchairs, small tables, and power outlets spread across one floor above the gate area. Food runs to basic hot dishes, snacks, and self-serve drinks rather than anything destination-defining, which is why repeated TripAdvisor comments land on “good, nothing special” when comparing it to newer Star Alliance lounges in Europe or LAX.

Bar options sit on a self-service counter with standard spirits, wine, and beer; nothing top-shelf, but enough for a pre-flight drink before a 23:55 departure. Coffee machines and soft drinks run throughout the 23:00–15:00 window, which helps if you’re waiting for a 06:00–08:00 regional hop out of Terminal A.

Regulars flying Star Alliance out of EZE time their visit carefully around that 15:00–23:00 card blackout, especially on weekdays when departures bank in the evening. They also head straight here after clearing passport control at Terminal A instead of lingering at duty free, since the lounge sits only a short walk from both gate 8 and gate 9.

Tip: if you’re paying the US$50 walk‑in fee, plan at least a two-hour stay near gates 8/9; less than 60–90 minutes in this lounge, and you’re better off saving the cash and eating in the main Terminal A concourse.
