Relay

Grab-and-go staples before security at Relay

Relay sits landside at Eugene Airport, just past the main ticket counters, and works as the basic stop for snacks, drinks, and something to read before TSA. It follows the same travel-convenience layout you see in a lot of smaller U.S. airports, so you’ll spot it quickly by the magazines and newspapers up front. Hours generally track with the first and last departures of the day, so assume roughly 5:00 a.m. to evening, but don’t cut it close for a late-night flight.

Inside Relay at EUG you’ll find bottled water, sodas, candy, chips, and a small rack of grab-and-go items typically priced at airport levels (think $3–$5 for snacks and $4+ for drinks). The magazine and book section runs along one wall, useful if you’ve got a 2–3 hour hop to Denver, Seattle, or San Francisco and want something better than the in-flight card. A few basic travel needs sit by the register: phone chargers, earbuds, aspirin, and neck pillows.

Souvenirs here stay pretty minimal: a couple of Oregon or Eugene-branded items, some postcards, and the usual keychains near the counter, nothing like the fuller regional focus shops you’ll see at larger airports like PDX. If you want more local flavor than a generic candy bar, check the small snack section for any Oregon-made products, which rotate and can sell out by later afternoon.

One tip: if your boarding pass is on your phone, grab a spare charging cable at Relay before security, since outlets near gates at EUG can fill up fast during the morning bank of departures around 6:00–8:00 a.m.
