Short Stay Parking at Kenai Municipal Airport sits directly in front of the terminal, so you walk across the small lot and you’re basically at the doors in under a minute. The field is tiny, and this is a simple surface lot with no levels, no shuttle, and no guessing where to go.

The rate runs $8 per 24-hour period, billed on a calendar day basis, which makes it viable even if your “short” trip turns into a couple of days. For same-day pick-ups and drop-offs, you’re just paying a single low daily charge instead of the steeper hourly pricing you’d see at bigger Alaska airports.

Because Kenai Municipal is so compact, there’s no real “far” side of this lot – every space is adjacent to the terminal doors in practical terms. You park, grab your bag, and you’re at check-in in under 2–3 minutes on foot, even from the outer edge. No need to pad your schedule for a shuttle loop or a 10-minute walk.

Lighting is basic but adequate, and the lot is open whenever flights are operating, which at Kenai usually means early-morning departures through early-evening returns. There’s no covered parking here, so in winter you’ll be brushing snow and scraping ice off the windshield yourself.

Tip: On busy fishing-season days, pull through to a forward-facing spot near the terminal side of the lot so you can drive straight out and be on the Kenai Spur Highway in under five minutes after landing.
