P5

Long-stay economy car park

Daily Bronze rates under €10 make P5 the budget lot

P5 at Eindhoven Airport is the long-stay Bronze economy car park, aimed at trips of 3–14 days where price matters more than a 2–3 minute saving on the walk. It sits farther from T1 than P1, but still within walking distance, so you skip shuttles and factor in roughly 8–10 minutes on foot with luggage.

Advance booking is mandatory here: like P3 and P4, you cannot enter P5 without a reservation tied to your license plate or an access code from the airport webshop. Barriers run on ANPR (automatic number plate recognition), so if you enter the plate correctly at booking, you just roll up to the gate and it opens without taking a ticket.

The pricing sits in the official “Bronze” band, undercutting P1 Premium by a clear margin on week‑long stays; think in the range of a few euros per day instead of double‑digit daily rates. It’s an open-air surface lot with standard marked bays only, so don’t expect covered parking, EV chargers at every row, or direct terminal access like you’d get at P1.

Regulars from the Eindhoven region often default to P5 for 7–10 day holidays, jumping on early‑bird slots in the airport webshop as soon as flights are booked. They almost always use license‑plate entry rather than QR codes to avoid fumbling with phone screens at the barrier, especially on dark early‑morning departures around the 06:00–08:00 wave.

There are no major complaint patterns in reviews, but the longer walk versus P1 stands out, particularly in heavy rain or with kids and two or three suitcases. Build a 10‑minute buffer from car to T1 security, then add your airline’s check‑in cutoff, and you won’t be sprinting the last 300–400 meters with your carry‑on.
