Car Park A

Short-stay

First row of Car Park A sits closest to DWC’s terminal

Car Park A is the short-stay option directly in front of the Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) terminal, so you can walk from your car to check-in in roughly 3–5 minutes. It is marked as the short-stay zone on airport signs as you approach the terminal access road, with separate lanes leading to the long-stay areas further back.

This is a short-stay facility, so pricing is structured by the hour rather than by the day; it works best for drop-offs, pick-ups, and visits under 24 hours. For anything longer than a day, DWC’s long-stay parking usually prices out cheaper than staying in Car Park A for multiple calendar days.

Car Park A sits on the terminal side of the main access loop, which means you avoid crossing any major road once you’ve parked. Stalls are in open-air rows with line-of-sight to the main entrance doors, and the walk is step-free from most rows to the terminal curb.

Because it is the closest short-stay area, Car Park A typically fills first during peak departure banks in the late evening, when DWC handles waves of flights. If you arrive less than 60 minutes before departure, budget a few extra minutes to circle for a spot or be ready to divert to a farther lot.

Payment machines are positioned near the pedestrian exit points facing the terminal, so you can pay before walking back to your car. Keep your entry ticket dry and flat; replacement tickets at many UAE airports trigger a full-day charge, which adds up quickly in a short-stay zone.

Tip: Aim for rows closest to the pedestrian crossing opposite the main terminal doors; it cuts your walk to around two minutes with luggage.
