P13 sits in the long-stay category and usually prices under the closer terminal garages at Düsseldorf Airport. It’s aimed at trips running several days or longer, where saving money matters more than parking right at Terminals A, B, or C. You park your own car, keep your keys, and then switch to the shuttle instead of walking to check-in.

The shuttle between P13 and the terminals runs on a loop, with an advertised transfer time of around 8 minutes. Figure on total curb-to-curb time of about 20 minutes once you add waiting and loading, especially at busier morning departure banks. Build that into your departure plan so you’re not stressing at security in Terminal A, B, or C.

P13 works best as a pure long-stay option: the airport lists it as a long-term car park, and it’s usually one of the cheaper official DUS choices for week-long or two-week trips. Short stays of 1–2 days often end up closer in price to the terminal garages, so check the online booking tool and compare against P3 or P8 before locking it in.

This car park is outside the immediate terminal ring road, so you can’t realistically walk to Departures in under 15–20 minutes; you’re committing to the shuttle. The upside: spaces tend to be more available than the prime garages right above Terminals B and C during peak holiday seasons. If you’re landing late at night, confirm the current shuttle timetable on the DUS site before you travel.

Practical tip: when you park at P13, snap a photo of your row number and the nearest shuttle stop sign before you roll your suitcase away. It makes the return from Terminals A, B, or C much quicker at the end of a long trip.
