Two-minute walk, plug in, and head straight to check-in
EV Charging Stations P3 sits right next to the Düsseldorf Airport terminals, roughly a 2-minute walk to check-in for Areas A, B, and C. This is the on-airport option if you want your electric car plugged in and charging while you’re away, instead of leaving it in a cheaper remote lot without power.
The P3 garage is terminal-adjacent, so you roll off the A44, follow signs to P3, park, plug in, and you’re at the terminal doors in about 120 seconds on foot. No shuttle, no extra waiting, just straight into Departures for DUS Terminal A, B, or C. That short walk is the whole point of paying for this garage over long-term off-site parking.
DUS prices P3 in the higher on-airport bracket, and you pay standard P3 tariffs plus the charging fee for your EV session. Charging stalls are limited, so count them as premium spots in an already central garage next to the terminal building. If price is your main filter, the airport’s remote car parks usually come in cheaper per day than P3 with charging.
Charging is built into marked EV bays inside P3, so you bring your own cable, plug into the on-site infrastructure, and let the car top up while you’re away on a multi-day trip. Think of P3 as the option for leaving your EV with a full or near-full battery by the time you return to Düsseldorf, instead of hunting for DC fast chargers on the A52 or A57 after landing.
Practical tip: book P3 with EV charging online via the official DUS parking portal in advance, since day-of parking next to the terminals is limited and EV bays in P3 can fill up on Monday mornings and peak holiday weekends.
