Bali Surf Shop

Bali boards and beachwear before you even leave DPS

Bali Surf Shop sits airside in the International terminal at Denpasar, a few minutes’ walk from most mid-20s gates. It’s a small space packed tight with surf-branded shirts, flip-flops, caps, and souvenir gear with “Bali” stamped everywhere. Think last‑minute gifts more than serious surf hardware.

Most T‑shirts land in the IDR 150,000–300,000 range, with hats and caps often around IDR 120,000–200,000. You’ll also see basic beach items like rash guards, boardshorts, and cheap sunglasses, all skewed touristy but fine if you forgot something for the hotel pool. Prices run higher than Kuta street stalls but lower than some hotel boutiques.

The shop usually opens by 06:00 and stays open until late‑evening departures, often after the 22:00 bank of flights. Stock leans heavily on small and medium sizes, and popular logo designs can thin out by late day. If you want matching shirts for a family group, go earlier in your layover window.

Selection shifts, but you can expect multiple designs tied to Bali beaches and surf spots like Kuta and Uluwatu printed on shirts and tote bags. Quality isn’t premium; seams and printing feel comparable to mid-range souvenir shops in Seminyak or Legian. Treat it as memorabilia, not gear that needs to survive years of heavy use.

Tip: check tags for “Made in Indonesia” and compare two or three similar items; stitching and print alignment vary, so you can usually find the better-made piece in under two minutes.
