200 QAR per day gets you the closest bays at DOH

Premium Parking sits on both the East and West sides of the Main terminal, physically attached to the building, so you walk 2 minutes through bridges or elevators straight into departures. It’s a short-stay setup aimed at Qatar-based frequent flyers and quick business trips, not week-long holidays.

The pricing is front-loaded: 30 QAR for the first hour, 20 QAR for the second, 10 QAR for the third, then it jumps to the full 200 QAR day rate from the fourth hour onward. Past about 6–7 hours, you’re essentially paying the same 200 QAR as leaving the car for a whole day, so this only really makes sense for same-day or 1–2 day trips.

There’s a 20% online pre-book discount that drops the daily cost from 200 QAR down to roughly 160 QAR if you reserve Premium Parking in advance through the airport site. Regulars use that pre-book option every time instead of just driving up, especially on 2–3 day work runs where that discount stacks quickly.

For short drop-offs, locals sometimes game the stepped hourly pricing: 3 hours in Premium costs 60 QAR total (30 + 20 + 10), which undercuts the 100 QAR minimum 2-hour valet charge. If you’re meeting an arrival, that 60 QAR for up to three hours buys you an attached car park instead of looping the curb outside the Main terminal.

Payment runs through machines on each car park level, with both cash and card accepted, and you don’t pay at the barrier on exit. Build in an extra 5–10 minutes at peak times like bank holidays, when queues form at the pay machines. One tip: pay at a quieter machine on an upper level before walking to the terminal, so you can drive straight out later.
