Most riders are Thai locals heading to the Northern or Northeastern bus terminals
The Transport Co., Ltd. bus links Don Mueang (Terminals 1 and 2) with Bangkok’s big intercity hubs like Mo Chit 2 and other Northern/Northeastern terminals in about 60–90 minutes, depending on traffic on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road.
Fares start around 250 THB and go up from there, which is more than city buses but less than most airport taxis for the same run from DMK to the long-distance terminals in northern Bangkok.
Buses run at least 10 times per day, so you usually see one leaving every 60–90 minutes in daytime rather than true high-frequency city service every 5–10 minutes.
From Terminal 1 (international) arrivals, follow signs for public transport down to ground level and look for Transport Co. counters with “Transport Co., Ltd.” branding and destination boards listing Northern and Northeastern terminals.
From Terminal 2 (domestic) arrivals, walk toward the shared public transport area near the front curb and confirm with staff that the bus you’re boarding is run by Transport Co., Ltd. and not a local BMTA city line.
These buses use underfloor luggage bays, so you can check full-size 23 kg suitcases before boarding and keep a smaller 7 kg cabin bag with you in the seat area.
Seats are standard intercity coach style in a 2–2 layout, so expect basic fabric or faux-leather recliners, overhead airflow vents, and a roughly 45–50 cm seat width, not cramped minivan spacing.
Tickets are usually sold at staffed counters, with a printed paper ticket showing the exact bus time and destination terminal, and most agents at DMK accept cash in THB rather than cards for simple point-to-point transfers.
There is no fixed “airport express” branding here, so double-check the front signboard for your exact terminal name, for example “Mo Chit 2” or “Northern Bus Terminal,” before loading your luggage underneath.
One practical tip: if you have a long-haul flight arriving after 20:00, confirm the last departure time at the Transport Co. counter in Terminal 1 before buying anything in the arrivals hall, so you don’t miss the final bus and fall back to a 400–600 THB taxi instead.
