Gate-side Thai comfort in Terminal 2

S&P sits airside in Don Mueang’s Terminal 2 and fills a gap for cooked Thai food when you don’t want another 7‑Eleven sandwich. You’ll see it on the departures level among the other chain cafés serving domestic flights, with a full menu instead of just pastries and drinks.

Prices run mid-range for DMK: expect around 120–180 THB for single-dish mains like fried rice or pad kaprao, and 60–100 THB for cakes and desserts in the display case. Portions skew smaller than in town, but still better value than most international-chain fast food in the same terminal.

Terminal 2 handles domestic departures at DMK, so S&P works well if you’re killing 45–60 minutes before a flight to Chiang Mai, Phuket, or Khon Kaen. Service follows the usual Thai airport rhythm: order at the counter, pay, then wait 8–15 minutes for hot dishes while drinks and cakes come out immediately.

You’ll usually find classic Thai rice plates, noodles, and Thai‑style Western dishes, plus the standard S&P bakery line. The safer bets for a quick meal are one-plate dishes such as pad thai, fried rice, or basil chicken with rice, typically ready in under 15 minutes. If time is tight and you’re under 20 minutes to boarding, grab a pre-cut cake slice or pastry to go instead of a cooked main.

Portion control here is airport-style, so if you’re really hungry, budget for two small mains or add a 30–40 THB side like soup or a sausage. Drinks run around 60–90 THB, including iced Thai tea and coffee, which land cheaper than many branded coffee chains elsewhere in Terminal 2.

Practical tip: check your gate first; if it’s at the far end of Terminal 2, finish paying at S&P at least 25 minutes before departure to avoid a rushed walk to boarding.
