Car Park Building 2

Short-term

50 metres from Terminal 1, this is the short-hop car park

Car Park Building 2 sits directly opposite Terminal 1 at Don Mueang (DMK), across the internal airport road and roughly 50–70 metres from the departures doors. It is a multi-storey, short-term facility, best matched to drop-offs, pickups, and same-day trips instead of leaving a car for a week.

This is a short-term car park, so pricing is structured by the hour rather than by long-stay packages. Expect charges to ramp up after the first 2–3 hours and to keep climbing every additional hour, which makes it workable for a 1–24 hour stay but poor value once you roll into multi-day territory.

Car Park Building 2 mainly serves Terminal 1, the older building handling many domestic and some regional flights, but you can still walk to Terminal 2 in around 8–10 minutes via the signed pedestrian routes. If you’re dropping someone for a Terminal 2 low-cost carrier flight, budget that extra walk time into your schedule.

The structure is a standard concrete multi-storey with ramp access; rows get tight when the lot fills around morning peaks, typically between 05:00 and 09:00. Clearance is similar to most city garages, so tall vans and some roof-box SUVs may feel squeezed on upper levels.

Payment follows the usual DMK pattern: collect a ticket at entry, pay at automated machines near the exits or at ground-level counters before you drive out. Keep a 20–100 THB note or a loaded local card handy to avoid hunting for change when the line forms at the exit barrier.

Tip: For Terminal 1 flights, park on the level that aligns with departures (around Level 2 or 3, depending on the current layout) to keep the walk to the check-in rows under five minutes.
