VinaSun cars line up outside both T1 and T2 exits

VinaSun Taxi runs metered cabs from Da Nang International Airport (DAD), serving both T1 (domestic) and T2 (international) terminals with a constant line of cars from about 05:00 until around 23:00. You’ll see the white and green VinaSun cars in the official taxi lane directly in front of the terminal doors, usually with several vehicles waiting at any given time.

From T2 to the city center, a VinaSun ride usually runs 80,000–120,000 VND for the 3–5 km trip, depending on traffic and where in Da Nang you’re headed. The meter starts around 11,000–12,000 VND for the first kilometer, and you pay in cash (VND) on arrival, so hit the ATM in the arrivals hall if you’re landing without local currency.

A run from T1 to My Khe Beach or Vo Nguyen Giap hotels is typically 15–25 minutes and around 120,000–180,000 VND, again on the meter. Drivers generally speak basic English for addresses and hotel names, but having your destination written in Vietnamese or pulled up on Google Maps with the exact street number helps keep the route tight and the fare close to locals’ pricing.

How to use VinaSun Taxi step by step

  • 1. Exit arrivals: After baggage claim in T1 or T2, walk straight out to the signed "Taxi" area within about 50–100 meters of the doors.
  • 2. Find the VinaSun queue: Look for white taxis with green and red VinaSun branding; avoid unmarked cars or drivers approaching you inside the terminal.
  • 3. Confirm the meter: Before the car moves, say "meter" and watch the digital meter switch on at around 11,000–12,000 VND.
  • 4. Show the address: Hand over a hotel card or show your destination on your phone with the correct street number and district.
  • 5. Pay in VND: At your stop, check the meter total and pay in cash; round up by 5,000–10,000 VND for short rides within 5–7 km.

Watch the meter during the first 1–2 km to confirm it climbs in small, regular steps (usually every 200–250 meters), and don’t hesitate to ask the driver to stop if it looks wildly off. Keep one small bill, like 100,000 VND, separate from your larger notes so you’re not fumbling with 500,000 VND at the curb in front of your hotel.
