Pizza Hut

Gate-side slice in T1

This Pizza Hut sits airside in Terminal T1 at Curitiba-Afonso Pena, so you’re past security before you see it and don’t need to factor extra time for screening. It’s one of the few branded international chains in CWB, which makes it an easy call if you want something predictable before a GOL, LATAM, or Azul departure.

Menu sticks to the basics: personal and medium pizzas, garlic bread, and soft drinks, with prices higher than city stores but standard for a Brazilian airport. Expect to pay noticeably more than a mall location in Curitiba for the same pepperoni or mozzarella pizza, but still far less than a sit-down steak or full Brazilian buffet in town.

Service style varies by unit, but in T1 you typically order and pay at the counter and wait for your number, which can take 10–20 minutes during evening bank flights. That timing works if your boarding pass shows a departure at least 45 minutes away; tighter than that and you’re eating in the queue.

Portions follow the global Pizza Hut template: a personal pan feeds one person, a medium can cover 2 light eaters, and sides come in single-serving portions. Drinks usually include canned or bottled soda around 350–600 ml and bottled water, all at airport markups compared with downtown Curitiba supermarkets.

Watch the departure screens near the T1 food area, since some domestic gates at CWB call boarding 40 minutes before the printed time. If your gate is at the far end of T1, give yourself at least 5–7 minutes to walk from Pizza Hut to avoid rushing with a hot pizza box in hand.

Practical tip: order a personal pizza and bottled drink instead of a larger pie if you’re inside a 60-minute window before departure; it’s the quickest combo to prepare and easiest to carry to the gate.
