Priority Pass gets you into Grand Lounge Elite in T2

Most lounge forums barely mention the Grand Lounge Elite at Cancún, but it sits in Terminal T2 and takes both Priority Pass and paid walk-ins. This is the default option in T2 if you want to get away from gate seating, especially before Aeroméxico, Magnicharters, or Viva Aerobus departures that still use this terminal.

You enter airside in T2 after security, so no access from T3 or T4 without a landside transfer and re-check. Factor in at least 15–20 minutes from a typical T2 security line to walking through the lounge door, more if you’re checking bags on a busy Saturday to Mexico City or domestic resort hops.

Pay-in rates at Grand Lounge Elite in CUN usually sit in the US$35–45 range per person, depending on the channel and any same-day promo. That covers basic buffet snacks and self-serve drinks, which are fine for a short layover but not a full meal replacement before a 3–4 hour flight up to the US or down to South America.

Food follows the standard Mexican contract-lounge playbook: simple hot trays, sandwiches, and packaged items, not sit-down restaurant quality. Think small plates that tide you over before an 18:00 departure, not something you’d time your airport arrival around. If you want a proper meal, eat in the main T2 concourse first and treat the lounge as a quieter place to sit.

Drinks are where you can get some value from a Priority Pass swipe. Local beer, basic wine, and standard spirits are typically included; top-shelf tequila or premium cocktails either aren’t available or come with a surcharge. If you have a morning flight out of CUN T2 before 10:00, expect coffee and soft drinks to be the main draw.

Seating tends to be standard armchairs with limited power outlets, so charge up in the terminal if your gate is more than 5–7 minutes’ walk from the lounge. Tip: in T2, check your gate assignment twice; once you see it posted on the FIDS screens, aim to leave Grand Lounge Elite about 25 minutes before boarding to avoid a last-minute sprint if they switch you to a different pier.
