Gate-side chain option in T2
In Terminal T2 at Chengdu Shuangliu, Real Kungfu is the familiar yellow-logo Chinese fast-food chain built around steamed rice bowls and lean meat. It runs more like a quick-service canteen than a sit-down restaurant, which works if you have 30–40 minutes before boarding. The rating sits around 3.4, so think passable fuel, not a destination meal.
Everything is post-security in T2, so you eat within a short walk of most domestic gates. Expect counter ordering, then a short wait while they steam and plate your set. Most mains land in the 35–55 RMB range, with combo-style sets climbing a bit higher once you add a drink. Card and mobile payments like WeChat Pay and Alipay are standard, and cash can take longer to process.
Signature plates follow the brand formula: boxed meals with rice, green veg, and protein like steamed chicken leg or braised beef. If you want something dependable, stick to the steamed chicken or pork over rice; those turn the fastest and stay hotter. Soups and side dishes can sit, so check they’re not lukewarm in the display before paying.
Service pace matches typical Chinese airport fast food: lines at lunch and dinner peaks, thinner mid-afternoon after about 14:00. Seats are basic two- and four-tops with trays, and you bus your own table. Portions run moderate, so a hungry flyer might add an extra side for another 10–15 RMB.
Tip: if your flight boards from a remote stand with bus transfer, aim to finish eating at least 35 minutes before departure; Real Kungfu trays and hot soups don’t travel well when staff start calling your row to the bus queue.
