T2’s Pacific Coffee sits landside before security
Just outside the T2 security area at Chengdu Shuangliu, Pacific Coffee works as a last coffee stop before you head to screening. It’s a standard Hong Kong chain setup: counter service, a pastry case, and basic seating you share with other T2 businesses. Rating hovers around 3.5 out of 5, which tracks with “fine, not amazing, not awful.”
Espresso drinks run in the mid-range for CTU: a latte or cappuccino typically prices above what you’d pay downtown Chengdu but below hotel lobby levels. You’ll see the usual lineup of americanos, mochas, and seasonal specials, plus basic teas. It’s one of the few predictable Western-style coffee options in T2, so expect occasional short lines around morning departures before 10:00.
Food is mostly display-case items: packaged sandwiches, simple cakes, and cookies that work as a quick snack more than a real meal. Portions are on the small side for the price, especially compared with noodle shops elsewhere in T2. If you need something filling before a long-haul, better to grab hot food in the main departures food court and then use Pacific Coffee for caffeine only.
Seating is open to the terminal walkway, with a handful of tables that tend to fill when multiple flights out of T2 board in the same hour. Power outlets are limited and sometimes not working, so don’t count on this as a charging stop before a 12-hour flight. Noise level matches T2’s general boarding calls and rolling luggage traffic, and you’re only a few minutes’ walk from the main security queues.
Tip: if you like milk-heavy drinks, ask for an extra espresso shot; the standard lattes here skew milk-forward compared with similar chains in the city.
