P3 Parking Lot

Daily max runs around ¥20 at the P3 Parking Lot.

P3 is the economy option at Chengdu Shuangliu, sitting in the outer parking area with a clear price advantage: about ¥20 per day. It suits multi-day trips where you want to cap costs and don’t mind adding a few minutes to the airport routine compared with the closer garages.

On foot, you’re looking at roughly a 10-minute walk from P3 to the terminal area, depending on which side you’re heading for (T1 or T2). Paths are straightforward and signed, but if you have heavy bags or kids, factor in that 10-minute stroll as real time, not “airport optimism.”

If the bags are awkward or it’s raining, use the shuttle from P3, which usually takes about 15 minutes door to door. That timing includes waiting and driving, so build that 15-minute block into your buffer before check-in or security at T1 or T2. Shuttles drop at the main terminal forecourt, so you still have a short walk to your airline’s counters.

P3 functions as a standard open-air economy lot, so you won’t get the closer-in feel of premium parking near T1 or T2, but you also won’t see the same bill at pickup. For longer trips of 3–5 days or more, that daily rate can easily undercut a taxi round-trip, especially if you’re coming from the Chengdu suburbs.

Tip: Aim to park closer to the shuttle pickup points in P3 if you arrive at night or in bad weather; it saves a soaked suitcase and trims a few minutes off that 15-minute shuttle run to the terminals.
