Priority Pass still lists “VIP Room,” but the space is gone.
Old references to a “VIP Room” or “Sala VIP” at Cartagena Rafael Nuñez Airport (CTG) now point you to the Heroica VIP Lounge
Terminal T1 at CTG is the only terminal with lounges, so if a card, airline, or guidebook mentions “VIP Room – T1,” they mean the same T1 departures side that hosts Heroica. There is no extra corridor, no second door, and no split space behind a shared check-in; it’s simply one operating lounge now.
The old VIP Room/Sala VIP accepted walk-in customers, and that concept survives via day passes around US$30 now sold for Heroica VIP Lounge access. Priority Pass, LoungeKey, and similar programs that once name‑checked “Sala VIP” have updated their terms to point toward Heroica with the same card swipe at check‑in.
Historically, the Sala VIP signage sat near the T1 departure gates, but that logo is gone and replaced with Heroica branding. If you follow older photos or maps that show “Sala VIP” beside T1’s boarding area, use that same landmark and expect Heroica staff at the desk instead of a separate VIP Room host stand.
Regulars who flew through CTG back when the Sala VIP name still appeared on doors now skip any hunt for a second lounge and walk straight to Heroica VIP Lounge after clearing security in T1. Airline agents and Priority Pass support lines also direct their premium and cardholder guests there as the default option.
If someone in your group insists on finding a distinct “VIP Room,” save the time: budget 5–10 minutes after T1 security to reach Heroica and treat it as the only functioning contract lounge product at Cartagena for Priority Pass and day-pass access.
