Just inside Terminal A land-side, this is the Sicily shop

Sicilia’s – Land Side sits before security in Terminal A, right in the public departures hall at Catania-Fontanarossa (CTA). It runs standard daytime hours in sync with the main check-in banks, so you can swing by after dropping bags but before heading to security. Because it’s land-side, friends or family seeing you off can shop here too without a boarding pass.

This is a souvenirs-focused shop, not a duty-free clone: expect region-themed items tied directly to Sicily. You’ll see Etna and Catania-branded magnets and keyrings under €5, plus T-shirts and caps that usually sit in the €15–€25 range. Shelves often carry local-style ceramics and decorative plates, which climb higher in price and take up space in a carry-on, so plan luggage room if you’re tempted.

Food gifts skew to packaged Sicilian specialties, typically in the €4–€12 bracket. Think pistachio sweets from Bronte, nougat bars, biscotti, and small jars of spreads that can survive a connecting flight through another EU airport. Check labeling for liquids over 100 ml if you’re connecting to a non-Schengen flight and need to pass security again; sauces and liqueurs can trigger secondary checks.

Stock here overlaps with the air-side shops in Terminal A, but being land-side means shorter lines during early morning waves around 06:00–09:00 when security queues are long. If you’re tight on time, grab magnets or small gifts here and skip browsing air-side. One tip: take a quick photo of larger items with price tags so you can compare if you spot the same piece after security.
