P1

Short-stay parking

Five-minute walk, covered, and closest: that’s P1 at CRL

P1 sits about a 5‑minute walk from T1 and T2 at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, making it the closest standard car park that isn’t VIP or valet. It’s a covered, multi‑storey short‑stay car park, so you stay under a roof from the moment you park until you hit the pedestrian route toward the terminals.

The airport lists P1 as short‑stay parking, with pricing that typically jumps in daily bands after the first 30–40 minutes. That means quick drop‑offs or pick‑ups cost less, but leaving the car for several days adds up fast compared with off‑site shuttle parks that run around €30–40 per week.

P1 connects directly to the terminal zone via signposted pedestrian paths, so you don’t wait for shuttles or factor in an extra 15–20 minutes of transfer time. French‑language Facebook discussions call it the “parking couvert le plus proche”, and people with very early Ryanair or Wizz Air departures like being able to just walk in at 04:30 without guessing if a minibus is running.

Each floor of P1 has PRM (reduced‑mobility) spaces close to the lifts, flagged on the airport access page. If someone in your group uses a wheelchair or has limited mobility, this is effectively the default on‑site choice, because you combine those bays with a short, mostly weather‑protected walk to T1/T2.

Regulars in Belgian parking forums say they only book P1 when they catch an advance rate that narrows the gap with off‑airport lots. Local Facebook groups also warn that during school holidays, P3/P4 long‑stay often sell out first, pushing late planners into higher P1 prices.

Tip: Check official prebook rates as soon as flights are confirmed; if P1 isn’t much above the €30–40 weekly shuttle parks, pay the premium and enjoy the 5‑minute walk.
