Mugg & Bean

R40 bottomless coffee is the main reason to use Mugg & Bean at CPT

This South African chain sits airside in both Domestic and International at Cape Town International Airport, so you’ll usually pass one on the way to your gate. Expect airport pricing: around R40–R50 for coffee drinks, R70–R120 for most breakfast plates, and R90–R160 for burgers, wraps and salads. Service runs roughly from the first morning departures through the late‑evening bank, so you can rely on it for a 06:00 espresso or a 21:00 sit-down meal.

Menu hits the usual M&B staples: giant muffins, flapjacks, eggs-and-bacon breakfasts, bagels, burgers, chicken strips, and big cakes by the slice. Cappuccinos and lattes hover around R40, with the famous bottomless filter coffee a decent value if you have more than 30 minutes. Portions are large by airport standards, so a single main can easily carry you through a 2–3 hour flight.

Seating varies by branch: Domestic-side locations tend to have more tables and plug points, while the International-side outlet leans harder on quick-turnover two‑tops in the main concourse. You usually pay at the table and can expect a 10–15 minute wait for cooked breakfasts during the morning rush, and 15–20 minutes for burgers and hot plates at lunch and dinner.

Tip: if your boarding time is inside 25 minutes, stick to takeaway coffee and a muffin at the counter; full hot food orders cut it too close for gates at the far end of either terminal.
