T3’s Cochin Duty Free sits immediately after international security
You hit Cochin Duty Free right after passport control in Terminal T3, before you reach most of the international gates. It’s your standard walk-through layout, so you’ll pass it even on a tight connection, but give it at least 10–15 minutes if you actually want to compare prices.
The shop runs in sync with international departures, so it’s effectively open 24 hours whenever flights are moving out of T3. That matters for late-night Middle East departures around 02:00–04:00, when this is one of the few places still fully staffed and selling more than snacks and water.
Liquor and tobacco sit near the entrance, with multi-bottle promos starting around USD 30 equivalent for mid-range whisky. Perfumes and cosmetics from big brands follow, with India duty-paid prices usually 10–20% higher than what you see on these shelves. Electronics and watches are further in, but selection is basic and not worth a special trip from another terminal.
Cochin Duty Free does carry regional sweets, tea, and spices, but in small pre-packed boxes rather than fresh counter service. Single chocolate bars and small gift packs sit under INR 500, which is useful if you need quick gifts before boarding an Emirates, Qatar, or Gulf Air flight out of T3.
Practical tip: compare liquor and perfume prices in your arrival duty free too, but if your outbound is on a tight schedule, buy at Cochin Duty Free before heading to your T3 gate area.
