Staff Parking Zone

Employee parking

Staff-only parking on the airport perimeter road

About 5–10 minutes’ drive from Cochin International Airport’s T1, T2 and T3 buildings, the Staff Parking Zone sits on the main perimeter road and is marked as employee parking only. It links into the internal airport road network used by ground staff and support vehicles, not the regular public car park entrances.

This area is set up for airport employees with permits issued by Cochin International Airport, not for passengers catching flights from T3 international or T1/T2 domestic. Signage on approach clearly labels it as staff parking, and security at the access point checks vehicle stickers or ID cards before letting cars through.

Parking here usually runs on monthly or long-term passes tied to an employee badge, unlike the public paid lots near the terminal forecourts where day rates apply. If you are flying out of COK and do not hold airport staff credentials, you should be using the standard passenger car parks instead of the Staff Parking Zone.

Entry and exit for the Staff Parking Zone typically use the same side road turn-offs that service back-of-house facilities close to the runway and support buildings. Traffic flow in and out is timed around staff shift changes, so it can feel busy at fixed times like 07:00–09:00 and 18:00–20:00 when many airport workers arrive or leave.

Tip: If your ride share or taxi driver tries to drop you near the Staff Parking Zone gates, ask them to go on to the signed passenger drop-off lanes in front of T3 (international) or your exact terminal instead; it saves an extra 5–10 minutes of walking with bags.
