$11 per day keeps you in the on-airport Long-Term Parking lot

This is CID’s default long stay option: $11 per calendar day to park about 0.5 miles from the Main Terminal. It’s an uncovered surface lot, so you’re trading weather exposure for staying fully on airport property instead of dealing with an off-site shuttle run.

Count on a 10-minute outdoor walk from the far end of Long-Term Parking to the Main Terminal doors at The Eastern Iowa Airport. The walk is along marked pedestrian routes through the parking area, with sidewalk segments closer in, so build in a little extra time in winter or if you’re rolling big checked bags.

Pricing is simple: the published daily max is $11, and the first 0–20 minutes are free, using the same $2–3 first-hour structure as CID’s short-term lot. That makes a 7-day trip roughly $77 in Long-Term versus noticeably more if you leave the car in short-term the whole time.

The airport calls this its long stay option and quietly notes a rule: if your vehicle stays more than 45 days, you’re supposed to call or email the parking office first. Regulars doing snowbird stints or long military trips put their plate on file so the car doesn’t get flagged as abandoned while they’re gone.

There are handicapped-accessible spaces in the Long-Term lot near the Main Terminal side, but they bill at the same $11 daily rate with no separate long-term discount posted. Drivers who need ADA spaces but also want covered storage often price out Flight Ready Parking off-site instead, since it offers sheltered spots with a shuttle for multi-day trips.
