Accessible stalls sit in both Short-Term and Long-Term at CID
The Eastern Iowa Airport sets aside marked accessible spaces in both the Short-Term and Long-Term parking lots, all billed at the same posted rates as regular stalls. That means no separate “disabled” product to hunt for, just your choice of proximity versus price based on mobility and budget.
Short-Term Parking sits closest to the Main Terminal entrance, so accessible spaces there cut the walk to check-in and security to a short sidewalk stretch. You still pay the standard Short-Term rate per day, which runs higher than Long-Term, but you stay on the same level as ticketing and baggage claim.
Long-Term Parking at CID also includes designated handicapped-accessible spaces, again charged at the normal Long-Term daily rate. If you use a wheelchair, walker, or just want to avoid shuttles but can handle a slightly longer walk, Long-Term lets you keep costs down on multi-day trips without giving up a marked accessible stall.
Regulars who use mobility aids but do not want valet usually pick the accessible spaces in Short-Term and keep their own keys. That setup avoids hand-offs at a stand, works well for early-morning departures from the Main Terminal, and keeps loading and unloading simple at your own pace.
- Tip: Arrive 15–20 minutes earlier on peak mornings to grab an accessible spot in Short-Term; once those fill, you may need to shift to Long-Term accessible spaces farther from the doors.
