CHQ Kiosk sits landside in Terminal T1, before security, next to the main check-in area, so you can grab something fast while you’re still juggling bags and boarding passes. It’s a basic quick-bites stand, more like a corner minimart than a café, but it beats heading through security hungry at 06:30. Think grab-and-go, not a sit-down stop.

Prices stay in the low bracket for an airport: coffee and soft drinks usually land in the €2–€3 range, and simple snacks stay under about €5. You won’t find hot plated meals here, but you will see packaged pastries, chips, chocolate bars, and bottled water lined up on the counter. It works best as a last-minute top-up before a short hop to Athens or another Greek island rather than your only meal of the day.

Because CHQ Kiosk is outside security in T1, factor in local security waits of 15–30 minutes before boarding. Buy what you want here, then head straight for the checkpoint; there’s less choice on the other side in Chania than at bigger hubs like ATH. Card payment is standard, but carry a €5 note or a couple of €1 coins in case the terminal goes down or there’s a minimum for very small purchases.

There’s no seating at CHQ Kiosk, just a counter and a small standing area within sight of several airline check-in desks, so plan to eat on the move. It works well for a quick bottle of water to meet the 100 ml rule before security, or a snack to stash for when your flight pushes back 20 minutes late. One practical tip: grab an extra drink and snack here if you’re on a low-cost carrier from CHQ, since buy-on-board menus often start at €3–€4 for water and push €8–€10 for simple sandwiches.
