Cafe Bar sits just past security in Chania Airport’s T1 departures hall, a few minutes’ walk from the main boarding gates. It runs through much of the flight day, generally opening with the early morning departures and staying open until the last outbound flights in the evening. Seating is bar stools and small tables right in the concourse, so you’re always within sight of the departure screens.

You’ll find Cafe Bar on the airside level of T1, after security and passport control used for non-Schengen flights, facing the main seating area that serves gates for airlines like Aegean and Ryanair. Power outlets are limited at the nearby tables, so charge your phone at the gate if you need a full battery for a 3-hour sector. Card payment is accepted, but keep a €5 note handy in case the terminal acts up.

Tip: If you care about coffee temperature on a hot July afternoon, go straight for a freddo espresso or freddo cappuccino here instead of a hot latte; they handle iced Greek-style coffee faster when the terminal is busy.
