Ten-minute drive from CHC, this is the Untouched World café
Untouched World Kitchen sits inside the Untouched World flagship store on Roydvale Avenue, about a 10-minute, ~5 km drive from Christchurch International Airport T. It’s a sit-down café, not an in-terminal spot, so you need either a rental car, taxi, or rideshare and at least an hour of slack in your schedule. Price-wise it sits around $$, with most mains and plated brunch dishes landing in the NZD $18–$26 range and coffee around $5–$6.
The menu leans into New Zealand café standards: expect things like eggs on toast, seasonal salads, and cabinet food rather than fast-food combos. Reviews call out good coffee and fresh baking, with portions sized like a normal city café, not a food-court kiosk. Seating is at regular tables inside the retail space, so you’re literally eating in the same building where they sell Untouched World clothing and homewares.
Hours shift with the retail store, but recent reports peg them roughly in the daytime band, opening in the morning around standard café time and closing late afternoon, not 9 p.m. airport-late. That means it works for a late breakfast before a midday departure from CHC T, or a mid-afternoon break after you land, but it’s not your 6 a.m. red-eye option or post-7 p.m. dinner plan.
A Google reviewer calls it a “nice cafe…not far from the airport, good for a coffee if you’ve got a car and time,” which is the right framing. This is a spot for a proper flat white and something off a plate, not a five-minute grab-and-go while you watch your gate number. Figure on at least 30–40 minutes on-site plus the 10-minute drive each way back to Christchurch International Airport.
Tip: If your check-in cutoff at CHC T is T-60, you want to leave Untouched World Kitchen by T-90 at the latest to cover the 10-minute drive, car return if needed, and a short queue at departures.
