Pricing lands in the $ bracket for the airport: combos usually sit a few dollars higher than in central Christchurch, as one Google review points out. You still get the usual Whopper meals, fries, onion rings, and sundaes. Drinks include bottomless soft drink refills at typical New Zealand BK fountain sizes.

Breakfast kicks off right at 04:00 with egg-and-cheese muffin combos and hash browns. A local blog specifically calls out the egg and cheese muffin with hash browns and a drink as “cheap and greasy,” which is basically the point here. Regulars use that combo to fill up before a 06:00–07:00 departure and then skip the paid snacks on Jetstar or Air New Zealand.

Non-meat eaters should note a clear gap: a 14 Weeks Worth of Socks review highlights that Burger King New Zealand doesn’t reliably stock a vegetarian burger at this outlet. You might get by with fries, hash browns, onion rings, and a drink, but don’t bank on a plant-based patty at 05:30 before your CHC–WLG flight.

Queues spike around the morning bank (roughly 05:30–08:30) and again before evening internationals after 17:00. Several Google reviewers mention long lines and slower service at those times. Because it’s pre-security, you’re also competing with meeters-and-greeters plus airport staff changing shifts, which stretches waits even more.

Tip: if you want BK before a domestic hop, hit Level One as soon as you arrive at the terminal, eat, then head through security; don’t stand in line here with only 25 minutes to boarding.
