Gate-side Indonesian books and gifts in Terminal 2

Just inside Terminal 2 at Soekarno–Hatta (CGK), Gramedia gives you a last shot at Indonesian books, magazines, and small gifts before boarding. It sits airside in T2, so you need a boarding pass in hand already. Think of it as a normal city Gramedia, shrunk for airport shelves but still recognisably local rather than a generic newsstand.

Most paperbacks sit in the IDR 70,000–150,000 range, with kids’ titles and comics often cheaper. You’ll see Indonesian bestsellers up front, plus Bahasa Indonesia learning books that run higher, often around IDR 150,000–250,000. There’s a modest English-language section; expect more regional authors and practical travel titles than big US/UK hits.

Stationery takes up a good chunk of floor space: pens, notebooks, exam-style pads, and simple school supplies, usually under IDR 50,000 per item. You can also grab small toys, coloring books, and puzzles that work well for a 2–3 hour flight out of Terminal 2. A few shelves carry souvenirs and office-style gifts that sit around IDR 100,000–200,000.

Hours typically track Terminal 2 flight banks, opening early morning around the first departures and staying open into late evening; figure roughly 06:00–22:00, with shorter hours on quieter days. Don’t count on super early red-eye coverage, so buy reading material the night before if you’ve got a 04:00 departure.

Practical tip: prices are in Indonesian rupiah only, so if you’re short on time before a regional flight from Terminal 2, top up your e-wallet or pull cash at an ATM in the public check-in hall before heading airside.
