Prices in Dufry Duty Free T3 usually beat downtown malls
Dufry Duty Free sits airside in Terminal 3 at Soekarno–Hatta, right after security for most international gates. You walk through it on the way to immigration or boarding, so you won’t need a detour from T3’s main concourse. Shelves skew heavily to liquor, perfume, cosmetics, and chocolates, with cigarette cartons stacked behind the counter.
Liquor here often undercuts Jakarta city prices by 10–20%, especially 1L bottles of Scotch and vodka, though Indonesia’s duty-free allowances still apply when you land. Fragrance counters lean on big names like Dior, Chanel, and Gucci, usually in 50–100 ml sizes. Expect promo combo packs on skincare and makeup, especially around holiday periods.
Snack stock runs from Toblerone and Lindt bars to big tins of assorted biscuits, priced roughly IDR 150,000–400,000. You’ll also see some last-minute souvenirs and gift packs branded with “Indonesia” or “Jakarta,” but this is not a deep local handicraft shop. Payments include major credit cards plus Indonesian debit; some counters accept contactless for transactions over IDR 100,000.
Lines can build around late-night long-haul departures out of Terminal 3, especially near the single staffed tobacco checkout. If your gate is in the far F-area of T3, pass through Dufry on the way out and then keep walking; it’s a solid 8–10 minute stroll to the remote gates. One tip: grab sealed water and snacks here if your airline doesn’t serve much between Jakarta and regional Southeast Asia hops of 2–3 hours.
