Motorcycle Parking Area

Two-wheeler

Most Jakarta-based staff ride in on two wheels

Motorbike is king around Soekarno–Hatta, and the Motorcycle Parking Area gives two-wheelers a defined place to leave the bike before flights from Terminals 1, 2, or 3. It’s a dedicated section for powered two-wheelers only, not mixed with cars or buses, which helps cut down on tight squeezes and blocked exits. Signage around the airport roads calls it out as motor or motorcycle parking in Bahasa Indonesia, so have your rider watch for those words as they approach.

This is a ground-side facility, so you park your bike here before reaching terminal security in Terminals 1, 2, or 3. From the Motorcycle Parking Area you still need a short transfer by shuttle, ojol, or on foot depending on which terminal you’re using and where exactly the bike section sits in the bigger parking complex that day. Plan at least 15–20 minutes from locking your bike to standing at a check-in counter, more if you’re checking bags for an international flight.

The Motorcycle Parking Area follows the same basic setup as the car parks at CGK: open-air or semi-covered spaces, pay-on-exit machines, and standard airport security patrols. Fees are typically charged per hour or per calendar day, similar to the four-wheeler tariffs published for Soekarno–Hatta, and are paid in IDR cash or local cards. Exact pricing can shift, so check the latest rate boards at the entrance before you pull in and decide how long you want to leave the bike.

One practical tip: take a quick photo of your row marker and the nearest stair or lift number as soon as you park. CGK’s parking structures all look alike after a long flight, and a 5-second photo at the Motorcycle Parking Area can save you a 10–15 minute hunt when you land back in Jakarta and just want to ride home.
