Bank-card holders treat Saphire Blue Sky Lounge as their T1 escape.
In Terminal 1 domestic at Soekarno–Hatta (CGK), Saphire Blue Sky Lounge runs mainly on Indonesian bank and credit-card access, so you see more local passengers than airline elites. It sits airside after security in T1, so you clear ID checks first, then head here instead of waiting in the main hall with the TV volume cranked up. If your card grants complimentary entry, it turns into a budget way to sit down and plug in before a short domestic hop.
The space is compact and seat density is high, with tightly packed armchairs lined up in rows across the single room. Expect it to feel more like a full waiting room than an empty club, especially during the 06:00–09:00 morning wave of Jakarta–Java flights. Power outlets sit along the walls and near some central pillars, so hunt early for a spot if you need to charge a phone or laptop before boarding from one of T1’s domestic gates.
Food runs basic buffet style, typically a couple of hot Indonesian dishes, some rice or noodles, and light snacks rather than a full meal. Think simple items to tide you over before a 1–2 hour sector instead of a full dinner before a long-haul. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee from an urn are the standard drinks; alcohol is usually not the focus in domestic Terminal 1, so plan on that being limited or absent. If you want something more substantial, you may still end up buying a proper meal from one of the terminal outlets.
Access is mostly via Indonesian bank and credit-card programs, plus occasional pay-at-the-door deals that float around IDR 150,000–250,000 per person during quieter periods. Because it is post-security in Terminal 1, you cannot use it on a Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 boarding pass unless you are willing to exit and reclear in the correct terminal, which at CGK easily costs 30–45 minutes. Check your card’s lounge list before you go so you do not waste time walking the length of T1 only to find out your issuer partners with a different room.
One practical play: if you arrive more than 90 minutes before a domestic departure from T1, clear security, head straight to Saphire Blue Sky, grab a seat near a power socket, and set an alarm for 40 minutes before scheduled departure so you still have time to walk to your gate and use the restroom in the main concourse.
