Garuda Indonesia Lounge

3

Most SkyTeam elites in CGK T3 only stay here 15–20 minutes before walking to Plaza Premium, and that tells you a lot about the Garuda Indonesia Lounge. This is Garuda’s flagship international space in Terminal 3, serving SkyTeam premium passengers and eligible elites on flights out of CGK.

The lounge sits airside in Terminal 3, a few minutes’ walk from many Garuda international gates around the central pier. Access runs in sync with the long-haul bank, typically opening several hours before departures to Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, and Amsterdam, so you can get in even for late-night red-eyes after 22:00.

First impression is strong: high ceilings, big windows, and runway views over T3’s international stands, especially near the seating by gates around the mid-300s. Seating is mostly standard armchairs with small tables and some bar-height counters with power outlets; expect to hunt a bit for a live socket near the busier banks before 09:00 and again around 18:00.

Food is the weak spot. You usually see 4–6 hot dishes in chafing trays (think nasi goreng, simple chicken dishes, basic pasta) and a couple of soup or porridge options, plus bread, cakes, and snacks. Quality swings from “fine if you’re hungry before a 7-hour flight” to “skip it and eat onboard,” and it rarely changes much across the day.

Beverages are serviceable but not special. Expect bottled water, soft drinks, coffee machines, basic tea, and a limited alcohol setup with a few spirits and beers; wine selection, when present, is minimal. If you care about cocktails before a 12-hour sector, do that in a terminal bar instead of here.

Showers are available, but maintenance feedback is mixed: occasional reports of worn fittings and variable water temperature, especially during the late-night rush between 22:00 and 01:00. Towels and basic toiletries are typically stocked, yet you might run into queues of 15–20 minutes before the midnight Australia and Japan departures.

Wi‑Fi uses the lounge’s own network, separate from the general CGK Terminal 3 system, and speeds can sag to single digits (Mbps) when multiple widebodies are banking. Power outlets are mostly Indonesian Type C and F; if you’re flying in from Europe or Australia, bring a compact adapter rather than gambling on the few multi-standard sockets.

Practical tip: Use this lounge for a shower and quick drink, then walk 5–10 minutes toward the Plaza Premium in Terminal 3 if you value stronger food options before your SkyTeam long-haul flight.
