Gate-side sit-down option near Terminal 1 departures

In Corfu Airport’s Terminal 1, Il Maestro sits airside after security, one of the few proper restaurant-style spots before you reach the compact gate area. Seating is limited, so at peak times around the morning departures bank (06:00–09:00) it can fill quickly. If you want a table rather than balancing a sandwich at the gate, this is the area you aim for once you clear the single main checkpoint.

Il Maestro leans on standard Greek-airport fare: espresso and cappuccino, basic beers by the bottle, and simple hot dishes priced roughly in the €8–€15 range. Menus at CFU tend to rotate seasonally, but you can usually count on a pasta or pizza option plus a couple of Greek-leaning plates like salad or grilled items. Expect counter ordering with food brought to your table rather than full white-tablecloth service.

Corfu Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport is small, with just Terminal 1, so Il Maestro ends up serving passengers for easyJet, Ryanair and charter flights all out of the same zone. Service speed depends heavily on the outbound wave; during the midday lull (roughly 12:00–14:00) you’re more likely to get food out in under 15 minutes. Early-morning staff can be a bit stretched when two or three UK flights board at once.

Watch your boarding times closely, as gates at CFU often post final call only 10–15 minutes after they first appear on the screens. Lines at Il Maestro’s till can build right after a big flight lands and offloads, so pay when you order and keep your boarding pass handy. Tip: if the line looks long, grab a coffee to go, pay cash to speed things up, and eat something lighter near your gate instead.
