Duty Free Shop

1

Just past security in Terminal 1, the Duty Free Shop sits on the main path to the CFU departure gates. It’s airside, so you clear passport control first and then walk straight into it. Expect the usual European duty-free mix: liquor, tobacco, cosmetics, perfume, Greek food gifts, and some last-minute travel essentials. Shelves are tightly packed, so it can feel crowded when two flights board close together.

Inside Terminal 1’s Duty Free Shop, you’ll see big-name spirits lined up with promo tags and multi-bottle deals, especially on whisky and vodka. Prices on alcohol typically beat downtown Corfu supermarkets on premium brands, but local ouzo and tsipouro can sometimes be cheaper in town. If you care about duty savings, double-check your allowance for the UK or EU before buying more than 1 liter of spirits.

Perfume and cosmetics take up a full section near the center of the Terminal 1 store, with testers laid out and frequent “-20%” or “-30%” signs on selected brands. Skincare and makeup lean heavily on big European labels. If you track prices, you may find that some fragrance gift sets cost roughly in line with other EU airports, not a crazy bargain, but decent when there’s a promo running.

Greek food souvenirs show up near the back of the Duty Free Shop in Terminal 1: olive oil tins, small jars of olives, honey, and boxed sweets like loukoumi. These are good for compact gifts, but volume olive oil is usually cheaper in town supermarkets. Check bottle sizes carefully; a 500 ml metal tin packs better in cabin baggage and stays under most liquid limits if you need to re-clear security elsewhere.

Snack options and travel basics sit along the side aisles of the CFU Terminal 1 Duty Free: chocolate bars, packaged nuts, kids’ candy, plus adapters, headphones, and neck pillows. Expect airport markups on electronics and accessories. If you just need water or a soft drink before boarding, a quick grab here is fine, but for stocking up, you’ll usually pay less at a landside kiosk before security.

Tip: lines at the Terminal 1 Duty Free checkout can spike 20–30 minutes before a cluster of departures, so if you want to browse in peace, shop right after clearing security instead of waiting until boarding starts.
