Terminal 3’s pay-per-use CIP Lounge sits airside past security

This is one of the few pay-per-use options in Cairo International Airport Terminal 3, and it serves passengers flying out of the main international terminal. You’ll find it after passport control and security, in the airside departures area for T3 flights. Access is sold at the door as a day-use lounge; pricing can change, so expect to confirm the current day pass rate at check-in.

The CIP Lounge in Terminal 3 runs on a straightforward model: pay a day pass, get a seat, Wi‑Fi and food before your flight. It mainly serves international departures from T3, which handles big carriers like Egyptair and Star Alliance partners. There’s standard lounge seating, some power outlets, and basic self-service counters rather than a full restaurant setup.

Food here often draws comments for being limited and repetitive, in line with other Cairo lounges mentioned on FlyerTalk in 2023 and 2024. Expect simple snacks, a few hot trays that might recycle through the day, and packaged items rather than fresh-cooked dishes. If you’re picky or flying later at night, consider grabbing a more filling meal in the public area of Terminal 3 before heading into the lounge.

Drinks lean heavily toward soft drinks, tea and coffee, consistent with reports that Cairo lounges generally have weak drink selections. Don’t count on premium spirits or a strong wine list. If a proper bar drink matters to you, buy it in the terminal first; treat the lounge more as a place for bottled water, soda and basic hot drinks.

Seats can fill up around banked departures for European flights from T3 in the evening, so don’t expect a quiet space at 20:00 on a busy day. Wi‑Fi speeds vary and depend on how many people are online, with some regulars reporting workable email and messaging but slow video streaming. Power outlets are not at every seat, so bring a fully charged battery pack if you rely on a laptop.

Practical tip: eat a real meal landside in Terminal 3, then use the CIP Lounge for Wi‑Fi, a soft drink and a seat near your boarding time rather than treating it as your only dining stop.
