18 BZD per day, 2-minute walk from Terminal 1
Main Car Park at Philip S. W. Goldson International is the basic, on-airport option: flat rate around 18 BZD per day, open-air, and about a 2-minute walk to the terminal doors used for both Terminal 1 and 2 check-in. You pay the same daily price whether you stay one night or leave the car for a week.
This is short-term in name, long-stay in practice. Belize travel blogs and local operators quote 18–19 BZD per night with no separate “long-term” section, and third-party guides only list this single general-use lot by the terminal. There are no multi-level structures and no covered parking, so your car sits in a simple outdoor area in front of the building.
Security is mostly people and visibility, not tech. Locals in the Belize Vacation Facebook group say the lot is considered safe and report that staff may place a boot on one wheel if you tell them you’re leaving the car several days. Regulars still treat it like any street lot: lock up and keep valuables out of sight even if they haven’t had issues with break-ins.
What regulars do: Belize residents who fly out for a few days tend to use this lot and pay the per-day 18 BZD fee, then walk the short distance to departures. Many hotel blogs instead tell short-stay visitors with rentals to leave the car at a Belize City or Ladyville hotel and grab a taxi to BZE rather than pay airport overnight pricing.
Watch out for the lack of shade in the uncovered lot; in mid-day Belize heat your car interior will get hot, so use a sunshade and avoid leaving electronics on the seats. One last tip: on arrival, head straight to the pay area near the lot exit before driving off so you don’t hold up the short 2-minute exit queue.
