Gate-side wings at WOW Café in BTR’s Main Terminal

Right past security in Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport’s Main Terminal, WOW Café covers the American grill basics plus a full wingery menu. It sits in the small post-security concourse, so you can keep an eye on departures for flights on Delta, American, and United while you eat. This is one of the few sit-down options after screening, so factor it into your pre-flight plan instead of relying on the vending machines near the gates.

Menu pricing lands in the mid-range $$ bracket: burgers and sandwiches usually sit in the low teens, while a basket of wings with fries pushes a bit higher. Standard bar-style sides show up here too, with fries, onion rings, and salads rounding things out. Portions tend to match the price point, so a single entrée can reasonably replace the snack box you’d buy on a 2–3 hour flight.

The draw is the wing lineup, with multiple sauces covering classic buffalo-style heat and milder options. If you’re connecting onto a short hop, stick to 6-piece wings or a single burger so you’re not rushing through a 12-piece basket. Grill items lean typical airport American: think chicken sandwiches, burgers, and quesadillas rather than anything regional like boudin or étouffée you’d find in town.

Service pace varies with the schedule spikes around morning and late-afternoon flights, so build in at least 35–40 minutes if you want a sit-down meal instead of a rush order. There’s usually no need to arrive more than an hour before a small regional departure just for food here, but don’t try to squeeze a full order in during boarding calls for one of the last flights of the night.

Tip: ask when you sit down if they can box it quickly; a burger or 6 wings travel fine to the nearby gates in the Main Terminal, and it beats a $9 snack mix on board.
