Newsstand

T1

By T1 security at BRI, this Newsstand is your quick grab

This Newsstand sits airside in Terminal T1, after security, so you can swing by on the way to domestic or Schengen gates without backtracking. It’s a small, functional spot in Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport, focused on print media and last-minute travel bits rather than full groceries or fashion.

Expect Italian and international newspapers and magazines, plus a rotating rack of pocket paperbacks at typical airport markups of around 20–30% over city prices. You’ll also see basics like bottled water, soft drinks, gum, and a few prepacked snacks, usually in the €2–€5 range. It fills the gap between the café counters and the duty free shop in T1.

Hours loosely track flight banks in Terminal 1, opening early morning for the first departures around 05:00–06:00 and staying open through the late-evening Ryanair and ITA Airways waves. If you land on the last flight into Bari around 23:00, don’t count on it still being open; buy before boarding if you need reading material for a late arrival.

Cards are widely accepted, and small purchases under €10 commonly go through contactless without any fuss. You’ll also find simple travel accessories on the racks: pens, basic chargers, and occasionally EU plug adapters, usually under €20. Stock feels more “general Italian” than Bari-specific, so souvenirs here tend to be logo mugs and keychains rather than anything regional.

Tip: If you want a magazine or bottle of water, stop here right after security in T1; gate areas at BRI thin out quickly and often only have vending machines past the main concourse.
