5–7 minute shuttle ride from Terminals 1 and 2
GVK Skycity Parking sits off-terminal near Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, with shuttle transfers to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in roughly 5–7 minutes depending on traffic. It’s a multi-level structured facility, so your car stays in a marked bay instead of an open lot, which helps in Mumbai’s monsoon season.
This is a long-stay friendly option, and pricing at Skycity generally undercuts on-terminal parking for trips of 2–3 days or more. You pay by the hour and then step up into day rates; check the current tariff boards at the entry gate as rates do change. The off-terminal setup means you don’t pay for curbside proximity, but you do trade that for the shuttle time on both ends of the trip.
Access is straightforward off the Western Express Highway, with the entry ramp signposted “GVK Skycity Parking” in English and Hindi. The structure has multiple levels, and attendants usually point you toward open sections so you’re not circling more than 5–10 minutes. Keep a photo of your level and bay number on your phone; there’s no app-based wayfinding here yet.
Payment is at manned booths near the exit barrier, and most travellers use UPI apps like Google Pay or PhonePe, plus standard credit and debit cards from Indian banks. Carry a physical card as backup; international cards occasionally fail on the first tap or swipe. You get a printed paper ticket on entry, and losing it triggers a flat “lost ticket” fee that can be higher than a normal day’s parking.
Plan your timing: add at least 30 minutes to your usual airport routine for the drive into Skycity, finding a space, and the 5–7 minute shuttle ride to Terminal 1 or 2. On return, keep your parking ticket handy in your hand luggage so you’re not digging through checked bag tags at the payment booth.
