Accessible Parking

Terminal 2 has marked accessible bays close to the departures doors.

Accessible Parking at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) sits in the main multi-level car park areas linked to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with reserved bays closest to the terminal-side elevators and exits. Look for the international wheelchair symbol painted on the ground and on signboards in the car parks serving T1 (domestic) and T2 (domestic and international).

These accessible bays are in the same paid parking zones as standard spaces, so you pay the regular airport parking tariff posted at the entry gate and payment machines. Fees at BOM are usually charged in blocks of 30 or 60 minutes, with day rates for longer stays shown on large boards as you enter each car park. Keep your entry ticket dry and handy, because you need it to pay before you exit.

The accessible spaces sit next to ramps and lift lobbies that take you directly to the terminal walkways. In the T2 car park, elevators link multiple levels to the departure curbside in a few minutes, which cuts the distance for anyone using a wheelchair or mobility aid. If you are getting picked up at T2, accessible drop-off and pick-up points align with the same curb areas as regular cars, under the elevated access roads.

Airport security staff often patrol these reserved bays, and they may check that vehicles parked in an accessible slot display a disability permit or carry a passenger who needs the space. If you arrive in a rideshare or taxi at Terminal 1 or 2, drivers can usually stop briefly near the closest curbside access point, but long waits still have to move to the paid car park.

Practical tip: if you need an accessible bay at BOM, ask your driver to follow signs for the main terminal car park at T1 or T2 and aim for levels signed with the wheelchair symbol, then park as close as possible to the elevator lobby before unloading any mobility equipment.
