100–150 meters from the Main Terminal doors
Car Park Zones 6 and 7 sit directly in front of Suvarnabhumi’s Main Terminal, marked as short-stay parking for quick drop-offs, pick-ups, or brief visits. Walking time to the departures area is usually under 5 minutes at normal pace, so this is the closest general parking you’ll get without entering the terminal road lanes themselves.
These zones are signed as short stay, with prices set higher than the long-term lots to keep turnover moving. Expect hourly rates that make sense for 1–4 hours, not for an overnight. If you’re meeting an arriving passenger on a confirmed flight time, budget 2–3 hours of parking to cover immigration, baggage, and a small delay buffer.
Access is via the main airport road system that feeds the terminal forecourt. Follow signs for “Short Term Parking” and then for “Zone 6” or “Zone 7” as you loop toward the multi-lane terminal approach. Ticket machines issue a paper ticket on entry; keep it handy in the car, since you’ll need the printed barcode at the pay stations before you drive out.
Security patrols and CCTV cover Car Park Zones 6 and 7, but it’s still open-air parking with standard marked bays. Height is not an issue for SUVs or vans, since these aren’t underground or multi-storey structures. For a quick departure, try to park on the side of the zone that lines up with your airline’s check-in island in the Main Terminal to shave a minute or two off the walk.
Tip: If you expect to stay more than 5–6 hours, compare the short-stay rate here with Suvarnabhumi’s long-term car parks; at that point, a shuttle ride from long-term usually beats the bill from Zones 6 and 7.
